Currently the most expensive Asian arowana, the charm and beauty of Over-backed Golden Dragon lies in the brightness of its scales. Unlike the red-tailed golden dragon, the mature over-backed golden dragon has golden scales all over its body. Not only that, the color of the over-backed golden dragon will also deepen as the fish ages, just like from one side of the fish body to the other. It's like going to the other side. Over-back gold has several different background colors, but purple is the main color. Other more common ones include blue, green, and gold. The gill covers of juvenile fish that are seven to eight years old look like a touch of gold. Immediately afterwards is the green-yellow straight line extending from the head to the tail. When it grows to nine to ten centimeters long, the purple-backed gold scales have reached the fourth row.
