Knowledge about caring for the Raffles Terrier
Raffles Terrier (confirmed introduction)

Like other dogs, the Rover Terrier does not need repeated bathing. It can be washed once every half month in winter and once a week in summer. Because the pH of the skin of dogs is different from that of humans. The skin of dogs is acidic, while the skin of dogs is alkaline and much thinner than human skin. Frequent bathing will damage its natural protective oils and cause a variety of skin diseases. When giving the dog a bath and grooming, we often need to help the dog clean its ears and eyes. So what should we pay attention to during daily care?
To clean the ears, one is to remove the dirt on the ear shell, and the other is to clean the ear canal. Wax, dirt or moisture easily accumulates in the dog's ear canals, so the dog's ears need to be cleaned and kept dry. If the dirt and moisture in the dog's ears are not removed regularly, it can easily cause ear inflammation.
It is easier to clean the outer ear shell, but you have to pay attention to cleaning the ear canal. You can use a cotton swab dipped in a little olive oil and wipe it inward little by little. The cotton swab should not be too long, grab the ear with the other hand and slowly wipe it until it is very clean. If there is a large amount of earwax in the outer ear canal, you can drop 1 drop of 2% borax water. After softening, carefully remove it with tweezers. When the dog's head hesitates, pull out the tweezers immediately to prevent damage to the saturation membrane or ear canal mucosa.
After cleaning, if there is inflammation, suppuration or parasitic lice and fleas, adjust the medication. If there is no other condition, sprinkle a little boric acid powder to keep the ears dry. In winter, very short-haired puppies are prone to frostbite on their ears, so they need to apply a little oil and massage them at any time.
The eyes of the Rover Terrier should always be taken care of
Dogs with big eyes and protruding eyes are easily irritated and injured and require special attention. Wash your eyes once a day to remove dust and eye mucus. For dry eyes, you can use a damp cloth to gently wipe away the eye dirt from the corners of your eyes, or use a cotton ball dipped in 2% borax water to wipe away the eye dirt. You can use either tap water or eye drops when washing your eyes.
A little eye stain often accumulates around the corners of a dog's eyes. Due to excessive secretion of eye glands, you often cry, and you need to clean your eyes frequently. The best way to eliminate tearing is to instill eye drops or clean with boric acid solution. Take 2 grams of boric acid powder and dissolve it in 100 ml of warm water to prepare a 2% boric acid solution.
For eye stains, use a wet cotton ball to clean it. If you use a cotton ball, the cotton wool will stick to the surface of the eyes. For excessive penetration, boric acid solution can be used to wash it away. Be careful when cleaning, if it drips on the whiteIf there is hair, stains will remain.
When your eyes are sick, you should use eye drops or have them immediately consulted by a veterinarian.
As for the grooming of the Luofu Terrier, it is generally done once every three or four months, depending on the condition of the dog. Because its coat is relatively hard and rough, daily grooming is very necessary.
