Some suggestions for transporting pets in winter

Some suggestions for handling pet shipping in winter
Dogs

Winter coincides with the holidays and is also a shipping season, but the severe cold undoubtedly brings new problems to pet shipping, which requires us to pay more attention when shipping pets.

1. Warmth Problem

The winter weather is very cold and the outside temperature is very low. Before entering the cabin, the pets will wait outside for a while. The pets are originally locked in a small cage alone. You will be very scared in your heart, and your immunity will decrease. If you do not pay attention to keeping warm, your pets will easily suffer from colds and other diseases. In order to avoid the above situations, you may wish to make preparations.

There are three key points to keep the cage warm. One: it must have a certain degree of sealing, and the space for the pet to stay should be loose. Two: Under closed conditions, it has good breathability. It is important for pets to breathe. Three: Prevent the disposal of pets' urine and feces. The warm materials in the cage should be discarded by the owner. The first two points are good, and then tear the toilet paper into very thin threads or tear the newspaper into small pieces. Blocks (this method is not as effective as toilet paper in keeping warm), so it can have a certain effect of keeping warm.

Secondly, most air boxes are designed with upper and lower rows of ventilation holes, mainly for winter. For the need of ventilation, the outside temperature is very low in winter. We can artificially seal the bottom row of ventilation holes and leave only the upper ventilation holes. This can also achieve a certain thermal insulation effect.

For small pets in winter, it is recommended to use a small wire cage instead of an air box (the quality should be better, and the pet must be insideMust be able to stand and turn around freely). The reason is that when pets travel in winter, they will be in a state of tension. In addition, the weather temperature is low, and they will inevitably become incontinent. There is no tray at the bottom of the flight box, and the pet's urine and feces are all wrapped around the pet. It's cold, wet, and dirty, so your pet will definitely be uncomfortable. The wire cage tray is separated from the space where the pet stays, and the size is equal to what leaks into the tray, so there is relatively less feces on the pet. The above are only allowed for pets to be checked in by themselves. There is no way to transport pets randomly. They can only be transported in air boxes.

2. Drinking water problem

< p style="text-indent:2em;">In summer we often emphasize the need to prepare good drinking water for pets because their water needs are large in summer. This is not practical in winter. In winter, their water demand is small, so there is no need to prepare special water for drinking. Just let the pets drink foot water before luck begins. Also, when the automatic drinking fountain is in use, it will leak, which will wet the bedding and freeze the pets behind it. Therefore, we do not recommend that you use a drinking fountain for your pets in winter.
